Did you know?

More than half of women who do not receive the support of a birthing coach requested or needed an epidural compared with 8% of women who were accompanied by a doula.

Women who are accompanied by a doula (birthing coach) generally experience shorter labour and delivery times even considering any obstetrical procedures to trigger labour or accelerate delivery.

55% of women assisted by a doula delivered naturally and vaginally, i.e. a birth without caesarean, anesthetic, oxytocin, medication, or forceps.  For women who are unaccompanied, this rate stands at only 12%.  It is truly remarkable to think that the presence of a devoted woman during the birthing process makes such a difference.Plus de la moitié des femmes ne recevant pas l’appui d’une accompagnante ont réclamé ou ont eu besoin d’une anesthésie épidurale par rapport à 8% des femmes qui sont accompagnées par une doula.

Breastfeeding is ecological as it does not require water or electricity to produce, nor does it need transportation, sterilisation, conservation, empty boxes, cardboard or plastic.

The development and functioning of the immune system is different in babies who receive formula.

There is a higher rate and level of severity of allergic reactions present in children who receive formula

“The support provided by my birthing coach was very important in succeeding with my VBAC.  Indeed, all couples would benefit from the help of a birthing coach like her in order to successfully have a vaginal birth after a caesarean!  her presence also allowed my husband to devote himself entirely to me during the delivery while she took care of everything else.  This really protected our bubble.”
